Synopsis - The workshop will provide a briefing about the criteria for user acceptance of novel smart grid architectures and services. The presenters will refer to their experience in a series of projects about user-centered sustainable energy projects conducted throughout the last 5 years. They will share methods to identify peoples’ underlying motivations and barriers for sustainable energy consumption, as well as the role of their personal values. In addition to this informative presentation, participants will be inspired to discuss current problems, open issues and challenges for the consumer-centered design and deployment of smart grid architectures and services.
